Partner, Head of FICC Americas Structuring and Solutions, Goldman Sachs
Fernando is Head of the FICC Americas Structuring and Solutions Group, a team focused on delivering innovation to the firm’s clients across Global Currencies and Emerging Markets, Credit, Rates, and Commodities businesses. He is also co-head of Latin America Market Strats.
Fernando is a member of the Global Banking & Markets – Public Investments Committee and Global Banking & Markets – Public Sustainability Solutions Council, where he leads the product development pillar for currencies and Emerging Markets.
He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of the Hispanic/Latinx Network. Fernando joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in 2006 and was named managing director in 2012 and partner in 2022.
Prior to joining the firm, Fernando was part of the Financial Institutions Derivatives Marketing team for Latin America at JPMorgan for two years. Fernando currently serves as a national board member for the Council of Urban Professionals.
Fernando earned a BBA in Finance and Economics from Loyola University in 2004.
Fernando resides in Manhattan with his wife and three children.
