Speakers will also share their career journeys and how they have leveraged mentors and sponsors to define practical action steps and achieve their desired goals and career outcomes.

CUP Talk: Breaking into the Board Candidate Pipeline

Many women and people of color aspire to sit on corporate and nonprofit boards, but there is no clear roadmap for how to get there. Meanwhile companies of all sizes are missing out on the competitive advantages that it brings to have diversity at the board level. This CUP Talk will highlight the disparities that continue to exist for women and people of color and demystify the skillsets needed to land a board seat (now or in the future).

Keynote: Senior Thought Leader to be Announced!

Panel 2: The Pillars of Success: Creating Future Talent Pipelines

Learn what it means to be an entrepreneurial professional, the science behind a growth mindset, grit and how these traits affect the ability of diverse professionals to succeed. The panel will also explore the tools and resources needed for mid-level talent to ascend into senior positions within their organizations.

Panel 3: I Am Enough.

Diverse professionals often manage a double bind of bringing their full selves to work, while also navigating the complexities of what that ultimately entails. How do diverse professionals advocate for themselves and show up authentically while also thinking opportunistically about their career progression? Panelists will explore challenging topics such as covering in the workplace and imposter syndrome, and how they have made strides to persevere while leveraging their diversity as a value add to their organizations.

Panel 4: I’ve “Made It”, Now What?

Newly promoted partners, Managing Directors and other equivalents will share their experiences with their career transitions, what they have learned, and what they wish they knew when they were mid-level within their organizations.
