Varun Sanyal

Varun Sanyal is Vice President, Real Estate at Kasirer. Kasirer is a full service lobbying and government relations firm, advocating on behalf of a wide range of clients who seek local expertise in navigating government. Varun advises real estate clients on public approval processes, community engagement, land use strategies, and economic development.

Previously, Varun was the Vice President of Economic Development at the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, Project Manager at the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation, and Legislative and Land Use Analyst for the Assistant Deputy Majority Leader of the New York City Council.

He was named a 2017 City & State NYC Rising Star. Varun sits on the ABNY Young Professionals Steering Committee and the Board of Directors of Hope Community, Inc.

Varun has a B.A. in Geography and Urban Studies from Temple University with honors and a Masters in Urban Planning from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
