Sharnell Delmohammed
Sharnell Delmohammed has a 12+ year career in financial services, spanning across multiple roles and lines of businesses. She currently serves as a Lead for JPMorganChase’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities Student Development efforts, where she develops strategic partnerships to invest in student development and long-term student success. Sharnell loves to empower students with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to chart successful career pathways. As a beneficiary of multiple early career opportunities, she is a true champion for NextGen or Early Career exposure, preparedness, and workforce development. Prior to this role, Sharnell was a part of the Program Management Office for ABP focusing on Executive Management Reporting and building program infrastructure.
Sharnell’s career in financial services began through the Thomas G. Labrecque Smart Start Scholarship Program, a 4-year, scholarship and rotational internship opportunity for graduating high school seniors in NYC. Throughout her four years, Sharnell interned in Human Resources, the Corporate Investment Bank, and Internal Audit. Sharnell is also an alumna of the Audit Analyst Program where she focused on assessing risks and controls for the Chase Wealth Management and JPMorgan Securities businesses.
Sharnell has a master’s degree in public administration with a specialized focus in Social Impact, Innovation and Investing from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies from Fordham University. She believes in the power of one, where one connection or one open door can lead to a lifetime of possibilities, which is why she recently founded her nonprofit organization, Opportunity Access Inc., focused on connecting students with resources to help them advance academically and professionally, and through which students in Jamaica have received college and university scholarships.
