Sarah Emily Rana
Sarah oversees Building Bridges camps and helps support CCEJ youth programs and trainings. Sarah has served as a nonprofit professional and volunteer in Oklahoma and California for over a decade working with schools, faith/interfaith organizations, and with community members to provide skills to become positive change agents in their communities.
Sarah has directed residential leadership camps for high school students in Oklahoma, Florida, and California focusing on social justice, equity, and inclusion. In addition, Sarah has created and led equity and inclusion trainings for adult learners in corporations, nonprofit organizations, and academic institutions.
Her passion lies in creating spaces for critical dialogue and bringing people from differing identities and experiences to foster understanding and respect for all. Sarah also served as the Board President of the Surayya Anne Foundation in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a Muslim, biracial person of color, Sarah is strongly connected to her Desi and Native communities and is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
