Monique E. Chase

Monique E. Chase is Senior Counsel, Vice President to Deutsche Bank AG.  Her practice focuses on employment law counseling to HR professionals and senior management on U.S. employment law matters, including compliance with federal, state and local employment laws addressing discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims, disability accommodation and leave laws, compensation plans, Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank whistleblower provisions, restrictive covenant protections, employee investigations, and diversity and immigration issues. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Monique was a senior associate in the New York office of Vedder Price, and was a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment practice area.

Monique spent four years as an associate at the law firm of Outten and Golden, one of the leading plaintiff side employment law firms in the U.S.  Before joining Outten and Golden, Monique clerked for the Honorable Ronald L. Ellis of the United States District Court, Southern District of New York.  She also interned in the Hearings and Litigation Units at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and was a 2010 New York City Bar Association Diversity Fellow.  Prior to attending law school, Ms. Chase was a research associate at the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law.

In 2019, Ms. Chase was named to the National Black Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 list, and was a 2020 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder.  Ms. Chase received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics and Law at SUNY Binghamton in 2006, and a Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2012.  She currently volunteers her time as a subject matter specialist as part of the 1 Million Black Businesses initiative (1MBB) with Operation HOPE.
