Mauricio Videla
Mauricio Videla is an attorney and federal commissioned bank examiner with the U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. His practice focuses on the assessment and enhancement of risk and control frameworks in large, complex financial institutions and contributing to enforcement actions to deter unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices. Additionally, he is certified as an Attorney-Arbitrator with FINRA’s Office of Dispute Resolution.
Previously, Videla served in legal and compliance, retail banking, commercial insurance operations, and corporate governance roles at large private and public institutions, including TD Bank, U.S. Bankruptcy Court EDNY, Citibank, Chubb Group of Insurance Companies, and Office of the Mayor of the City of New York.
He is a leader in the American Bar Association Business Law Section where he serves as vice chair of its Young Lawyer Committee. Additionally, he serves the Section’s Consumer Financial Services Committee as vice chair of the Diversity & Inclusion subcommittee and liaison to the Compliance Management subcommittee. The Hispanic National Bar Association named Videla as a “Top Lawyer Under 40” in 2018.
Videla earned his JD from Indiana University, MPA from Baruch College, and BA from St. John’s University.
