Maryanne J. Ravenel

Maryanne has 10+ years of Fortune 500 experience in corporate communications and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) with an increasing portfolio of responsibilities. She has a strong passion for creating, cultivating, and nurturing inclusive and diverse environments, which improve employee engagement and create a more productive workforce. Her favorite aspect of executing a DEI strategy is supporting and coaching leaders and creating educational workshops that shift mindsets and behavior. 

Currently, Maryanne is the Diversity Business Partner supporting the Infrastructure organization at Meta (formerly Facebook). In her role, she develops strategies to support the advancement of internal talent and partners with leaders to build an inclusive workplace across the organization of 10K+ employees. 

Previously, Maryanne was responsible for setting and executing the DEI strategy for over 6K employees in the Engineering department globally at Bloomberg LP. Maryanne was also on DEI teams at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts where she led the DEI function for the local health insurance company, and Moody’s where she supported employee resource groups (ERGs) and women development programs. 

Prior to joining a DEI team, Maryanne spent almost 7 years at Time Warner Cable on the Corporate Philanthropy team developing and managing employee engagement and volunteerism initiatives. While there, she also launched the second Black Business Employee Network chapter in the US. 

Maryanne received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Corporate Communication at Baruch College and obtained her Diversity and Inclusion Professional Certificate at Cornell University’s Industrial & Labor Relations School. 

During her days off, Maryanne enjoys binge-watching psychological thrillers and murder mysteries, reading romance novels, traveling the world, and entertaining her 2-year-old French Bulldog, Oakland. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Maryanne is the second oldest of four daughters raised by her mother and grandmother. She is an avid fan of all things Beyoncé, Adele, and 90’s R&B.
