Manuel Lorenzo
Manuel Lorenzo is a Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of Neuberger Berman and works in the alternative investments group. He primarily supports the private equity, private credit, hedge fund and fund of hedge fund businesses. He coordinates the drafting and negotiation of fund formation documents as well as the legal execution of co-investment, primary, secondary and GP-led secondary transactions. He also serves as a member of Neuberger Berman’s civic engagement committee.
Prior to joining Neuberger Berman in 2019, Manuel was an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in the investment funds practice group. He focused on counseling sponsors on the organization and operation of private equity funds including fund-of-funds, buy-out, co-investment, secondary, and real estate funds. He was a member of the firm’s diversity committee and co-chair of the Latino affinity group.
Manuel earned his J.D. in 2014 from Columbia Law School, where he was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar for the 2013-2014 academic year and served as a Special Features Editor on the Columbia Journal of Race and Law. He received his B.A. in Government from Cornell University in 2011. He currently serves as the co-chair of the LatinoJustice Líderes Young Professionals Board.
