Jordan Montoya
Jordan Montoya is the Executive Director of Pretrial Services at the NYC Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ), where he manages criminal justice programming allowing those charged in NYC criminal cases to remain in community while fighting their cases. Prior to serving in this role, Jordan was an Associate Counsel at MOCJ where he analyzed a wide spectrum of legal issues affecting the criminal justice system including proposed criminal legislation, case processing, justice-related housing and cannabis legalization. From 2017 to 2021, he served as an Assistant District Attorney within the Rikers Island Prosecution & Public Integrity Bureaus at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office.
Jordan also furthers his commitment to public service and community engagement outside of work. He serves on the board of MetroLALSA, Inc. as an alumni director, supporting initiatives for Latinx legal professionals and promoting access to justice. Additionally, he teaches criminal law at Westchester Community College, where he fosters an understanding of the criminal justice system for students. He also serves as a law school mock trial coach, helping future lawyers develop vital advocacy skills.
Jordan received his J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2017 and his B.A. in Government with Minors in Sociology and Psychology from Manhattan University.
