Cherise White

Originally from Jamaica, by way of Toronto, Cherise is now based in Los Angeles as Corporate Counsel at Match Group, supporting Tinder and advising on marketing, business development and product initiatives for the brand. Prior to joining Tinder, she was a production attorney in advertising & film, but started her legal career in the finance and tech sector in Toronto.

She has a passion for the arts and creative fields and has been focused on promoting and fostering young, creative voices in underprivileged communities, including with the Remix Project in Toronto where she provided legal workshops for young creatives hoping to grow their careers in the industry. She is also a member of the National Lawyers Guild – LA chapter and helped participate in the Mass Defense Legal Team assisting protesters that were arrested during the George Floyd protests in 2020.

Cherise received her J.D. cum laude from the University of Ottawa where she served as an editor of the law review, and on the executive team for the school’s Creative Law Society. She is currently a member of both the California and Ontario bars.
