Anaïs Holland-Rudd

Anaïs Holland-Rudd is an accomplished attorney with a focus on public service and legal advocacy. Currently, she serves as Associate General Counsel and Records Access Officer at the New York City Department of Investigation (DOI), where she oversees Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests, conducts confidential investigations, and advises on legal matters impacting the agency. Anais plays a vital role in drafting motions, managing public disclosure strategies, and collaborating with city agencies to ensure compliance and accountability.

Anaïs began her career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office, where she managed a significant caseload involving violent and non-violent crimes. Her hands-on experience includes witness preparation, negotiation of pleas, and successful jury trials, showcasing her dedication to justice and community safety. She then advanced her expertise at Aaronson Rappaport Feinstein & Deutsch LLP and Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP, focusing on financial services litigation and asbestos defense, where she effectively managed complex cases and secured favorable outcomes for clients.

Outside of her legal work, Anaïs is passionate about mentoring and community engagement. She actively supports students in Baruch College’s Max Berger Pre-law Program and mentors law students through the National Black Law Students Association. A proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, she is dedicated to leadership and service, participating in numerous panels and discussions to inspire young people in the legal field. She is a member of the Metropolitan Black Bar Association, and the Garden State Bar Association where she serves on the scholarship committee.

Anaïs also runs a law school admissions consulting business, where she guides aspiring law students in crafting their applications and developing their professional skills. In her free time, she enjoys reading non-fiction, thrillers, and romantic novels, as well as cooking, traveling, and running.

Anaïs holds a Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College. With a strong commitment to public service and a passion for mentorship, Anaïs continues to make a meaningful impact in her community and the legal profession.
