Alicia Criner
Alicia is currently Director of Digital Marketing at L’Oréal, where she manages the ecommerce business and digital media for the $1 billion Lancôme brand. Prior to this position, she also managed digital marketing for the Kérastase and Shu Uemura Art of Hair brands at L’Oréal. As a founding member of L’Oréal’s Women of Color Think Tank, Alicia champions diverse representation across the beauty and technology industries.
Alicia has been nominated five times for the L’Oréal Beauty Shaker Awards, is a recipient of the Internet Retailer Mobile Commerce Excellence Award, has been featured by Google, Market Wired and Essence, and was recently selected by Curiosity Lab and The DoGoodr as a “30 Patrons of Progress” for her work as a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital brand ambassador. In her previous roles, Alicia worked with bestselling authors Deepak Chopra, James Franco and more producing original content for Kindle while at Amazon. She began her career in digital advertising at Microsoft.
Alicia is passionate about community involvement through mentoring first-generation college students with America Needs You and serving local families through Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc. A lifelong athlete, she promotes healthy living as a member of Harlem Run, competes in triathlons, and loves snowboarding. She is a graduate of Howard University and currently resides in Harlem, New York. Alicia’s personal mission is to brighten and empower the beauty of underrepresented communities.
