Stratford Dennis

Stratford has spent his career to date working at Goldman Sachs where he has held various positions within their equities division, primarily in equity derivatives. He currently runs the division’s emerging markets businesses across the Americas. 

Throughout his adult life, Stratford has been an advocate for education, equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion. At Goldman Sachs, Stratford has formally and informally supported the firm’s recruitment, retention, and mentorship of individuals from underrepresented backgrounds. He also founded a number of initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion and has been involved with some of the firm’s inclusion-investment initiatives such as One Million Black Women and Launch With GS, which focus on providing investment capital to women and ethnic minorities. 

Stratford has also had an impact outside of Goldman Sachs, serving on advisory boards at Avon Old Farms School, PeacePlayers International, and the National Black MBA Association. 

Stratford attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. He earned an MBA from Columbia Business School. 

Stratford currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife Ashley, his daughter Lark, and his son Griffin.
