RECOGNIZEShawn Pride, a Partner at Ernst & Young, leads the firm’s U.S. Private Equity Advisory PI practice. She has 15 years of Private Equity consulting experience possessing a deep understanding of the operational challenges faced by Private Equity fund managers. Shawn is recognized as an industry expert and serves as a trusted advisor to many of the most prestigious firms who collectively are responsible for over $1 trillion in assets under management.
Shawn began her career in education, teaching high school mathematics in her hometown, Richmond, VA. She started her consulting career at Accenture, and after 8 years left with a vision to bring her private equity and consulting expertise to a nearly untapped segment of the industry. As founder and CEO of P&L Consulting Group, Shawn successfully built an impressive client list and grew her business from a start up to a multi-million company with 25 full-time employees in 7 years. P&L Consulting group was acquired by Ernst & Young in April 2013.
Beyond Ernst & Young, Shawn is founder & CEO, Akua’s Village – A non-profit that seeks to provide financial and physical support to the children of Kumasi, the Ashanti region of Ghana, West Africa. Akua’s village seeks to help improve the quality of life of Ashanti children by working through orphanages and educational institutions to improve facilities, bring technology, provide financial assistance and create global access and opportunities to support their endeavor to succeed.
Shawn earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Spelman College and Masters from the University of Maryland, College Park.
