Nomura SecuritiesMiguel Espinosa is a Managing Director and the Head of Investment Banking, Americas and Co-Head of Financial Sponsors, Americas at Nomura Securities. He started their San Francisco Investment Banking office in 2014 and has grown that business to 50+ professionals. Amongst other executive committee responsibilities, he Co-Chairs the America’s Wholesale Diversity Committee.
Prior to joining Nomura, Miguel spent 15 years at Morgan Stanley where he spent the last 13 years covering Financial Sponsors on the west coast based in their San Francisco office. He spent his first two years based in London in the Oil & Gas group. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he spent two years at The Chase Manhattan Bank based in Houston, Texas.
Miguel has been involved in the Bay Area community holding board positions at both the San Francisco Zoo and The Carey School and was a member of the Development Board at The University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Espinosa holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.
He lives in Hillsborough California with his wife, Angela, their two children, Tessa and William and their two golden retrievers.
