Maria Weaver is SVP and head of sales of Interactive One (iOne), the fastest growing and definitive digital platform for African American and Millennial audiences. She is responsible for leading iOne’s aggressive national growth strategy, having been an integral member of the leadership team that launched the company in 2008 and helping it grow its annual revenue from zero to $25 million, with 2014 being its most profitable year.

Weaver began working with iOne in a marketing role, after working in traditional marketing at HBO and Showtime, and has successfully become a force in digital marketing. In addition to leading East Coast – and now National – sales and integrated marketing, she has led all public relations, pro-social initiatives, diversity partnerships, consumer, trade and sales marketing for the company. She has helped define iOne’s creative vision, including the launches of several leading online destinations targeting African Americans, Latinos and Millennials.

Prior to joining iOne, Weaver was one of the co-founders of Triple Threat Films, which financed and produced films such as Dirty Laundry and Through The Fire: The Sebastian Telfair Story.

Weaver has also been recognized for her work and as a leading female African American executive in the industry. This includes multiple Telly and CTAM Mark Awards, the NAMIC Award of Excellence for African American Brand Advertising Campaign and more. She also participates in a number of non-profit, community and industry organizations, including as a founding member of the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP), as a member of The Links, Inc. – Greater Hudson Valley Chapter and the Jack & Jill of America – Westchester Chapter and has served on numerous boards. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Pace University and a Master of Professional Studies in Design Management from Pratt Institute.
