Maria G. Hackley

Maria is Global Co-Head of the Industrials Group within Citi’s Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory division since 2016. The Industrials Group is comprised of the largest clients in Aviation, Autos, Shipping, Rail, Chemicals, Metals & Mining, Paper & Packaging and Diversified Industrials. 

Maria manages an origination team focused on developing global relationships concentrating on Acquisition Finance, Debt Issuance, Working Capital Optimization, Risk Management (interest rate, equity and FX hedging) and Treasury Services. The previous 30 years, Maria was a Coverage Banker responsible for the origination and deal execution in Healthcare and Financial Institutions. Team Captain for Georgetown University recruiting and active engagement in Citi Women’s retention, development and promotion initiatives. 

Maria has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University, major in Finance. In 2022, 2021 and 2020, American Banker named Maria as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance. Maria is on the Breakthrough New York Board of Directors, on the Board of Cuba Emprende Foundation and is a former member of the Georgetown University Board of Regents. 

She is married, has two daughters and lives in New York City.
