Johnbull Okpara is Citi’s Chief Accounting Officer and Controller since 2020. He is a renowned strategic business partner, change agent and problem solver with high integrity and sought after for sound financial and business advice. 

Prior to Citi, Johnbull was a Managing Director and Global Head of Financial Planning & Analysis and CFO of Infrastructure for Morgan Stanley. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was a Managing Vice President, Finance, at Capital One and held executive finance roles at American Express, including Global M&A Controller. Johnbull began his career at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. 

Johnbull received an MBA in Finance & Management from the NYU Stern School of Business, a BS in Applied Chemistry from the University of Jos and is a CPA and CIA. 

Johnbull is a member of the Executive Leadership Council and the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council (FASAC). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Nigerian Higher Education Foundation, previously served as a trustee of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and is a recipient of the Greater Hudson Valley Links Corporate Leadership award. 

Johnbull and his wife have four children and reside in Bronxville, NY.
