Alia joined Front Row Productions to bring classic works featuring actors of color to Broadway.  In her Broadway debut, she co-produced the first African-American revival of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, the biggest grossing play on Broadway in 2008, featuring James Earl Jones, Phylicia Rashad, Terrence Howard and Anika Noni Rose. The transfer to London’s West End garnered the 2010 Olivier Award for Best Revival of a Play. Broadway credits include: A Streetcar Named Desire, The Trip to Bountiful, andRomeo & Juliet.

Alia began her career with Procter & Gamble and transitioned to finance.

The Spelman College and Georgia Tech graduate completed her MBA at NYU Stern.

She serves on the boards of The National Urban Technology Center and New Worlds Theatre Project.  She teaches Producing for Broadway at The City College of New York and is an active member of The Broadway League Speaker’s Bureau.
