Nikia E. Williams, Esq.
Nikia E. Williams is an attorney, advocate, and community leader. Nikia has dedicated her life to effectuating change within marginalized communities and empowering women and people of color.
She currently serves as Associate General Counsel for RiseBoro Community Partnership, Inc. (“RiseBoro”); in this role, she is the chief legal advisor for RiseBoro’s Housing and Real Estate Division and supports senior leadership in their decision making. Prior to her current role, Nikia was a Litigation Associate at a prominent New York City law firm and her practice focused primarily on construction law and commercial litigation. Nikia represented real estate owners, developers, design professionals, contractors and other members of the construction industry in litigation and transactional matters.
In addition, Nikia also serves on the Board of Directors for the Council of Urban Real Estate (“C.U.R.E.”) and sits on the New York City Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee. Nikia dedicates much of her free time to addressing inequities within urban communities, mentoring youth and expanding access to legal services for low-income families.
Nikia is also a fitness enthusiast and when she is not engaging in advocacy work you can find her training at the gym.
Nikia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Binghamton University and her law degree from New England Law | Boston from which she also received the distinguished Dean Timothy J. Cronin Memorial Award.
