Barry G. Simmons
Head of National Sales for Wealth & Investment Management, Wells Fargo
Barry G. Simmons is the head of National Sales for Wealth & Investment Management where he will partner closely with WIM’s four divisional leaders, field leadership and centers of excellence to execute the WIM business strategy and drive growth.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Barry served as managing director and head of the East Division and Network Expansion for JP Morgan Wealth Management where he led a team of over 1,600 financial advisors across 1,700 branches. He also served as a co-chair for the firm’s Black Executive Forum.
Prior to that, Barry formerly served as the head of Card Customer Service, responsible for leading a team of 6,000 people across the U.S. and International territories. Following this role, he was the head of California Consumer & Wealth Management where he led a team of over 10,000 people across 1,000 branches in California. Barry was also the Wealth Management Executive for Enterprise Business and Community Engagement responsible for driving integration efforts for U.S. Trust and Merrill Lynch with all lines of business across Bank of America. Additionally, he served as an executive sponsor for the Black Professional Group.
Barry graduated from the University of Virginia where he majored in communications. He also has an MBA in finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Kenan-Flagler Business School. Barry is passionate about serving the community and developing the next generation of diverse leaders. He serves as a board member of the Council of Urban Professional, One Hundred Black Men, INC. of New York, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
