Gabriela Tejedor

Gabriela Tejedor is Co-founder and Co-Head of School of Brooklyn Independent, a new middle school that seeks to integrate students across racial and socio-economic to combat New York City’s segregated and unjust schooling system. She is a Teach of America alumnus and has taught English Language Arts for the past nine years, most recently at Uncommon Schools’ Ocean Hill Collegiate, where she served as both Grade Level Chair and a Middle School ELA Curriculum Specialist. She graduated from New York University in 2011 and RELAY Graduate School of Education in 2013.
