Fernando Rivera

Managing Director Head of FICC Americas Structuring and Solutions, Goldman Sachs

Fernando is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs in New York. He heads the FICC Americas Structuring and Solutions Group, a team focused on delivering innovation to the firm’s clients across the Global Currencies and Emerging Markets, Credit, Rates and Commodities businesses. Fernando joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in 2006, was named a vice president in 2009 and managing director in 2012.

Fernando is also a member of the Global Markets Division Sustainability Solutions Council, leading the product development pillar for Currencies and Emerging Markets. He also serves as chief operating officer of the Firmwide Hispanic/Latinx Network, which focuses on helping to attract, retain, and the develop the firm’s Hispanic/Latinx professionals.

Prior to joining the firm, Fernando was part of the Financial Institutions Derivatives Marketing team for Latin America at JP Morgan for two years.

Fernando earned a BBA in Finance and Economics from Loyola University in 2004. He currently serves at the College of Business Visiting Committee.

Fernando resides in Manhattan with his wife and three children.
