Kimberly Wilson

Kimberly Wilson is a senior digital strategist, storyteller, and all-around editorial/content person. In her role as Director of Social Media at Entertainment Studios, she is responsible for strategically expanding TheGrio’s social media footprint to increase traffic referrals, engagement and build brand affinity, in addition to curating stories that affect and reflect the African American community. Kimberly has also demonstrated success building strong teams and managing award-winning projects prior to this role. Her work experience has included roles and projects such as The Root (Univision Communications), Black Enterprise, the NAACP Image Awards, the American Black Film Festival and Think Tank Digital. In addition to overseeing TheGrio’s social strategy, Kimberly is an adjunct professor at Howard University and the College of New Rochelle. Her classes cover digital and social media strategy, as well as integrated marketing.

A New York native, Kimberly has been active with a number of community organizations including the Precious Dreams Foundation, and the Give 1 Project. Kimberly received her B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and her J.D. from the Howard University School of Law.
