Dino Bovell
I am a first-generation Guyanese American born and raised in Yonkers, New York. I am the first member of my family to graduate from college and law school. I moved from New York City to Los Angeles in 2021 to further my ambitions to amplify Black and Brown voices in popular culture and expand the sphere of opportunities and influence for underrepresented communities.
I am currently a Director of Business Affairs with NBCUniversal (“NBCU”) in Los Angeles, where I am responsible for negotiating the commercial deal points with the production companies and behind-the-scenes/on-screen talent that develop, produce, and feature in NBCU’s premium television and streaming content. I’ve worked on a variety of projects across film and television including the Olympic games, Sunday Night Football, Christopher Nolan’s summer blockbuster Oppenheimer, and Saturday Night Live. I formerly worked as an employment lawyer with two preeminent international law firms in New York City.
I am an outspoken advocate for DEI and mental health & wellness. Outside of work, I love to play soccer and go for long runs, I enjoy learning about and drinking wine, am a sneaker and fashion enthusiast, and aspire to see more of the world and experience diverse cultural viewpoints. I am also a diehard New York Knicks and Giants fan.
I currently live in Studio City with my wife Janelle and our darling Cavapoo Robin.
