Ivie Clausell is a respected leader in the global privacy legal space, and has held positions of increasing responsibilities and scope, culminating in her current role as Vice President of Data Protection Legal at Johnson & Johnson. 

Starting her legal journey as a federal attorney, Ivie gained litigation experience at the Second and Third Circuits.  She then went inhouse at a pharmaceutical company and found her passion in balancing individual privacy with the responsible and ethical use of data.  Since then, Ivie has held a number of leadership positions, including as Chief Privacy Officer and head of global Privacy & Information Security, before rejoining Johnson & Johnson in her current role.  At J&J, Ivie and her team provide privacy and cybersecurity legal support for the company’s operations worldwide.    

Ivie is a Fellow of Information Privacy, and holds numerous other certifications, including in US and EU data protection laws, privacy technology, and privacy management. Her outstanding contributions have earned her recognition as a Latina Trailblazer by LatinoJustice PRLDEF.  She is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, and also sits on the Board of Directors of Jo’s Food Pantry, a non-profit organization addressing food insecurity in northeast Pennsylvania.
