Author, global Wall Street executive, and philanthropist, Roderick Hardamon, has achieved a level of success well beyond his years. His first book, Trying to Get There: Navigating Your Success is an inspiring “one-on-one” discussion told from the perspective of this young, talented, financial services executive who reached the upper echelon of Wall Street in just 10 years.

Formerly, Hardamon was the North America Head for Citi Alternative Investment Services with over $300B in assets under his administration. He also served as Co-Head of Mergers and Acquisition for Citi Markets & Banking, executing deals in excess of $5 billion in over a dozen countries.

Hardamon co-founded the Diversity Leadership Program and actively serves on a variety of civic boards including: Millennium Dance Company (Board Chair); the Council of Urban Professionals (Treasurer); the New York Leadership Council for UNCF; and the Dean’s Advisory Council for Morehouse College. Roderick has been a visiting speaker and panelist at Harvard Business School, Howard University, and Columbia Business School, to name a few.  He has been honored as one of The Network Journal's 40 Under Forty and one of the YMCA's Achievers in Industry. Hardamon is a graduate of Morehouse College with Bachelor’s Degrees in Accounting & Philosophy.

He is joined in life by his wife Kaili and their children Roderick Jr. (RJ) and Ella Monroe.
