Michael Chang

Michael Chang is the Deputy Director, Global Finance Operations at the International Rescue Committee (IRC), an organization that works with refugees and displaced people to survive, recover and gain control of their future. In his role, Michael works to drive efficiency and operational excellence in the IRC’s financial management practices in more than 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities where they operate.

Prior to joining the IRC, Michael worked as a Consultant at Fiscal Management Associates (FMA), where he provided financial management and capacity building services to nonprofit organizations, foundations, and government agencies across the country. Early in his career, Michael worked to provide humanitarian aid and disaster relief assistance as an international programs officer at AmeriCares.

Michael holds his MPA from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs, as well as a MA in International Relations from Sun Yat-Sen University in China, and a BA in Philosophy from Boston College. Michael is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
