Kareema (Bee) Partin

For the past two years, Kareema has served as the Associate Director of the JCC Manhattan’s Cinematters: NY Social Justice Film Festival where she manages all aspects of the occasion. The festival provides five days of films and events to spark conversation and activate social change during Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend.

In the off season, Kareema spends her time working in various aspects of the Entertainment industry, from TV/film production to creative development to name a few, which she has done for the past decade.

Her love for cinema is extended to her artistic talents as a filmmaker and poet having been a semi-finalist for several major writing programs, a fellow under Film Producer, Christine Vachon, a diversity scholar at the Upright Citizens Brigade for improv and sketch, and as an artist-in-residence for the Cambridge Writers’ Workshop, hosted by Harvard alumni.

As founder of The HiveMind Unified, she also provides resources to professionals of color to help them advance their career in the Entertainment industry.

She is an alumni of SUNY Albany (Phi Beta Kappa) and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School where she received her Masters in television, radio, and film. She currently resides in NY.
