Jerry Bruno

Jerry Bruno is the Strategic Project Manager within the New York City Department of Homeless Services (DHS) Administrator’s Office. In his role, he advises on the DHS strategic plan and manage high-level collaborations such as ThriveNYC, the City’s commitment to creating a mental health system that works for everyone. Prior to this role, Jerry managed the operations and planning within the Division of Family Services at DHS.

Prior to Department of Homeless Services, Jerry worked at New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS), working closely with Minority/Women-owned Business Enterprises that contracted with government on the city, state and federal level. Jerry began his career in City government as a New York City Urban Fellow.

Currently, Jerry is the co-director for NYC New Leaders Council (NLC) chapter and a career guide for the Future Emerging Leaders in Public Service Fellowship (FELPS).

A Florida native, Jerry graduated from the University of Florida with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Public Leadership.

Last, Jerry is passionate about traveling and connecting with different people and cultures from around the world. He has been to 4 continents: North America, South America, Europe and Antarctica. His goal is to visit the other continents by the end of 2020.
