Sherrese Clarke-Soares is a Managing Director and Head of Entertainment, Media & Sports Structured Solutions at Morgan Stanley where she originates and executes financings for sports, content production, development, and distribution companies. Previously, Sherrese was the Head of the North America Relationship Lending where she originated & executed $75-85Bn in loan commitments for both investment grade and noninvestment grade issuers across many industries including technology, media, and telecommunications. She was a deputy chair and a member of the firm’s Capital Commitment Committee.

In 1998, Sherrese began her career at Morgan Stanley as a summer intern and full-time analyst in Equity Capital Markets and Equity Research, leaving the firm in 2002 to pursue an MBA. Sherrese re-joined the firm in 2009 after spending 4 years at CIT Group, where she was an SVP and head of the underwriting & portfolio management team for the Entertainment Advisory & Finance group. During her tenure at CIT, Sherrese evaluated investment opportunities, advised prospective clients on financing solutions, and identified new business opportunities to finance film production, music, and other content-related businesses, committing over $2Bn.

Prior to CIT, Sherrese worked at GE Capital in the Global Media & Communications group in Norwalk, CT and New York, NY. Sherrese received her B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University and her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 2004. She is a board member of the Council of Urban Professionals (9 years), FreeFrom (1.5 years), and Urbanworld Film Festival (5 years)
