Rance Lee currently serves as the Associate Director of Admissions at the United States Military Academy. In his role, Rance oversees the department’s budget, marketing, public relations, and information technology functions; as well as the planning and execution and the Academy’s premier recruiting initiative – the Summer Leaders Experience.
Prior to assuming his current role, Rance spent two years as a Legislative Liaison in the Army’s Office of the Chief Legislative Liaison (OCLL) in the Pentagon. At OCLL, Rance served as the lead liaison between the Department of the Army and the U.S. Congress on issues concerning military construction, real estate, and family housing. Additionally he served as a legislative Assistant during the Senate confirmations for the Secretary of the Army, the Under Secretary of the Army, and the Chief of Staff of the Army. Rance has spent the last 20 years serving as an Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army. During that time, he has led Soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Republic of Korea. Rance has twice been awarded the Bronze Star Medal for outstanding service in a combat zone. Additionally, he has successfully completed two of the Army’s most grueling schools, the U.S. Army Ranger School, and the Sapper Leader Course.
Rance received his B.S. from the United States Military Academy, and his MBA from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Rance currently resides in West Point, NY with his wife Alma.
