On Thursday, April 17, 2014, CUP hosted its 7th Annual Leadership Gala, where we honored: Natalie Morales, News Anchor and Co-Host of Third Hour of NBC News’ “Today”, with the Breakthrough Leadership Award; Gregory J. Fleming, President of Wealth Management & President of Investment Management at Morgan Stanley, with the New York City Vision Leadership Award; and Target, was presented with the Corporate Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Award, which was accepted by Kim Strong, Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion at Target.
On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, CUP hosted its 5th Annual Media & Entertainment Forum, featuring a Keynote Conversation with Dick Parsons , Senior Advisor, Providence Equity Partners, LLC. Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility, Time Warner Inc., was the moderator for the evening. Parsons discussed his transition across sectors and attributed his success to relationships with mentors, taking chances, tenacity, and self-confidence.
On Tuesday, October 30, 2012, CUP held a Distinguished Leadership Series event, sponsored by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and hosted at Creative Artists Agency, focusing on Lessons on Leadership. The evening featured Billy Hawkins, Motion Picture Literary Agent for the CAA, Alex McKindra Jr., Managing Director at JPMorgan, and Salaam Coleman Smith, President at Style Media.
