Eighth Annual Women's Leadership Forum

On Tuesday, July 26, 2016, CUP held its Eighth Annual Women's Leadership Forum, "The Confident Leader - Overcoming Workplace Fears" convened by Wells Fargo. Honorees included: Jyoti Chopra, Head of Global Citizenship and Sustainability at BNY Mellon and Dr. Danielle Moss Lee, President & CEO of YWCA Of The City of New York. CUP Media Training Workshop

On Thursday, June 23, 2016, CUP held a Media Training Event at BNY Mellon. Rally Point Media Strategies conducted the workshop. The purpose of the media training is to help CUP members learn the tools needed to prepare them for potential media opportunities in their careers and as a member of the organization. This session seeks to familiarize members with the media landscape and techniques for handling a press interview.

Distinguished Leadership Series: The Business of Broadway

On Thursday, June 9, 2016, CUP held a Distinguished Leadership Series: The Business of Broadway hosted by Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz. The evening's program included a conversation featuring Stephen C. Byrd and Alia Jones-Harvey, Producers of the Broadway hit Eclipsed and Kenny Ozoude, Co-Producer of Eclipsed. The conversation was moderated by Lisa Davis, Partner at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz.

Power Series: 6th Annual Digital Power Lunch

On Wednesday, June 1, 2016, CUP hosted its 6th Annual Digital Power Lunch sponsored by Goldman Sachs at Buddakan NYC where we gathered over fifty power players from the digital and technology industries to facilitate information exchange and industry connections. The keynote conversation featured Justin B. Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Bloomberg Media Group, and Denmark West, Partner at Connectivity Capital Partners.

9th Annual Leadership Gala

On Thursday, April 7, 2016, CUP hosted its 9th Annual Leadership Gala, where we honored: Citi (accepted by Stephen Bird, Chief Executive Officer of Global Consumer Banking at Citi) with the Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Award; Robert F. Smith, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Vista Equity Partners with the Philanthropic Leadership Award; Solomon D. "Sol" Trujillo, Founder and Chairman of the Trujillo Group, LLC and Co-Founder and Chairman of the Latino Donor Collaborative (LDC) with the Lifetime Leadership Award; and Bozoma Saint John , Head of Global Consumer Marketing for Apple, with the Breakthrough Leadership Award.

On Wednesday, March 23, 2016, CUP held a Distinguished Leadership Series: 2020 Vision - The Future of Work with Millennial Leaders hosted by CITI. The evening's program included a panel discussion featuring Bridget Fawcett, Global Head of Strategy and Business Development at Citi, Sebastian Rea, Content Operations Manager at Tribeca Film, and Jennifer Zephirin, Chief Marketing Officer & Vice President at the Center for Talent Innovation. The conversation was moderated by Michael Burns, Head of ICG Diversity at Citi.

POWER SERIES: SALON DINNER AND CONVERSATION WITH COURTNEY ARMSTRONG

On Thursday, March 17, 2016, CUP convened a salon dinner and conversation with Courtney Armstrong, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Business Affairs at Warner Bros. Pictures hosted by Time Warner. Mr. Armstrong shared his perspective and strategies for positioning yourself for leadership, navigating your career: understanding the unwritten rules of success, and creating circles of reciprocity.

2nd Chief Diversity Officer Roundtable

On Tuesday, February 23, 2016, CUP held its 2nd Chief Diversity Officer Roundtable "Does Diversity Create Bottom Line Value?", hosted by Thomson Reuters which convened 80 senior executives and junior high-potential professionals across industries to engage in cross-sector dialogue on best practices for instilling diversity & inclusion (D&I) principles and behaviors into organizational culture and systems. Panelists included: Mandell Crawley, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Morgan Stanley; Patsy Doerr, Global Head of Corporate Responsibility & Inclusions at Thomson Reuters; and Daisy Auger-Domínguez, Global Head of Diversity Staffing at Google Inc. The moderator for the evening was Lauren Young, Journalist at Thomson Reuters.
