Valerie Grant is a Senior Vice President and Senior Research Analyst at AB where she recommends investments in the consumer discretionary, media and Internet sectors for Value, Core and Equity Income portfolios. Valerie provides leadership for strategic initiatives including the Responsible Investment Committee, Women’s Leadership Council and Black Employee Resource Group, which she co-founded and led for four years.  Valerie joined AB from the corporate development group at Bristol-Myers Squibb, and previously worked in venture capital, marketing and strategy consulting at TL Ventures, Merck & Co., and McKinsey & Company.  She earned a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA, with high distinction, from Harvard Business School.  She was a Rotary Scholar at the University of Zimbabwe.

Valerie is a director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Harvard Business School Club of New York and a member of The Links, Incorporated.
