Hope Knight is Chief Operating Officer of the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ), responsible for the day-to-day operations. UMEZ is a not-for-profit organization charged with deploying public funds, tax incentives and other financial products to stimulate private investment.

Prior to her current role, Ms. Knight was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley in the Institutional Equities Division. She was also a senior staff member, at the City of New York, Department of General Services. She was a Senior Consultant at Accenture in Strategic Services under the Financial Institutions Group. She was also a senior staff member at the City of New York in the Department of General Services

Ms. Knight holds a Bachelor of Arts from Marymount Manhattan College and an MBA from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.

Ms. Knight serves as Chair of the Marymount Manhattan College Board of Trustees, a member of the boards of TruFund Financial, Grameen America, Carver Bank Community Development Corporation, Morgan Stanley New Markets, North Country School and Robin Wilson Home.
