Diahann Billings-Burford

Diahann Billings-Burford is an Executive Director at Time Warner Inc., where she serves as a member of the Cultural Investments’ team and has primary responsibility for the strategic direction of philanthropy, the programs and resources provided to stimulate and support employee community engagement, and community investments.  

Prior to this role Diahann has worked in both the not for profit and public sector to leverage resources to address societal ills. In 2009, she was appointed by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg as Chief Service Officer for the City of New York and headed NYC Service, a division of the Mayor’s Office with the mission of tapping the power of the people to meet pressing challenges. NYC Service initiatives targeted six impact areas: strengthening communities, helping neighbors in need, education, environment, health, and emergency preparedness. During her tenure, NYC Service engaged over 1.3 million New Yorkers in a wide range of volunteer activities, from providing tax assistance to low-income families, to volunteering to teach fitness classes at City recreation centers, to coating rooftops with reflective white paint to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. She currently serves as a board member for buildOn and Tufts University, Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service.
