Dee Poku-Spalding is a social entrepreneur who was born in the UK and raised between London and Accra.  She is the Founder and CEO of WIE, an innovative women’s leadership and empowerment network. WIE connects emerging and established women leaders, and works to empower the next generation and equip them with the tools to succeed. The organization has attracted an incredible range of speakers to its US, European and African symposiums, salons and dinners, including Donna Karan, Arianna Huffington, Queen Rania, Graca Machel, Ted Turner, Melinda Gates, Diane von Furstenberg, Nancy Pelosi, Jill Biden, Alek Wek, Katie Couric, Tyra Banks, Lauren Bush, Precious Motsepe, Elizabeth Banks, Iman, Rosario Dawson, Deepak Chopra and Christy Turlington.

Dee began her career in brand marketing and promotions and is also the founder of Right Angle, a marketing consultancy that specializes in strategic partnerships, bringing entities such as movies, brands, non-profits, and high profile individuals together whereby all parties benefit from a given campaign.  A former Hollywood studio executive, Dee’s background includes senior marketing roles at Paramount Pictures and Focus Features (a division of Universal Pictures).

Dee serves on the Board of Directors of the British Academy of Film & Television (BAFTA) and the Credit Suisse New Markets Women’s Advisory Board and is an advisor to beauty brand Tiossan, Ciara’s Kombucha and electronics company Puku.

Dee holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Math.
